UNILAG ranked amongst top 20 Universities in Africa

The University of Lagos (MAULAG as some of us have refused to stop to call it) was ranked 16th position in the recent ranking of top 100 Universities and Colleges in Africa.
University of Cape Town, South Africa was the first on the list, followed closely by University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. The first six Universities on the list were South African Universities (this is a shame o). Other Nigerian Universities that made the list and their positions are University of Ilorin (39),University of Ibadan (40), Obafemi Awolowo University (42), University of Benin (45),University of Port Harcourt (52), University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (64), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (84) and University of Jos (88). Although this ranking is said to be done based on web popularity, wait o come to think of it am not sure I saw any private Nigerian University on that list, eh ya not even Covenant University after all the bragging……..well for the full list you can click on the link: http://www.4icu.org/topAfrica
